King size bed that reminds us of Bradford’s old days. The room has a train feeling. Newly redecorated, it has a wooden floor and Blackout Thermal drapes to allow for better sleep. Shower tub arrangement.
Long time ago everyone coming from New York encountered Bradford to be the end of the train line. Believe it or not, Bradford was filled with hotels, businesses and a booming economy. Pleasant View Inn, as it was called back then, was what we could think of an all inclusive resort. With 600 acres, it had its own farm to feed its guests, a pool, tents, outdoor and indoor games, and the well known casino, that housed a pool table and a TV, when electricity was added to the property. In memory of that time frame, Sturbridge is a memory of years past reminiscent of the old train line.
Our fireplaces are disabled during the summer to conserve fuel and reduce heat. Likewise, our air conditioners are disabled during the winter as they are completely unnecessary.
