Mary Pickford played a damsel in distress for years in the movies but she really wasn’t in distress at all. With our Mary Pickford suite we celebrate the type of woman she was. Griffith, and she was one of the 36 founders of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences, which presents the yearly Oscar Awards ceremony nowadays. Mary Pickford was also a guest of Rosewood Country Inn (formerly called Pleasant View Inn) many times.
